Jillian Michaels reportedly plans to take legal action against the parties involved in creating Netflix’s docuseries Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser.
ICYMI, Jillian and Bob Harper were trainers on the reality show that aired from 2004-2016. The show followed obese people whose goal was to lose the most weight using only diet and exercise in exchange for a $250,000 cash prize.
Caffeine pills:
First things first.
Jessie Spano taught us the dangers of misusing caffeine pills on Saved by the Bell. Truly, a cautionary tale.
… but I digress.
Jullian was scrutinized in Netflix’s documentary through interviews with past contestants regarding her 2013 controversy over caffeine pills.
In the doc, Jillian’s 2013 controversy involving producers accusing her of giving her team caffeine pills without a doctor’s permission is revisited.
While Bob Harper was involved and interviewed as part of the series, Jullian declined.
Proof👏 Receipts👏 Timeline👏 Screenshots👏:
Jillian shared an alleged email and text chains between herself, The Biggest Loser producers, and Bob Harper with her Insta followers.
“This is one email of many that shows: Dr. Huizenga did approve caffeine pills on many seasons of Biggest Loser. Bob Harper not only knew about the caffeine pills, the ‘stackers fat burner’ were actually his suggestion. I wanted to use my brand instead because they were cleaner and had no more than 200mg of caffeine (equivalent to a strong cup of coffee). Caffeine was NEVER banned on The Biggest Loser.”
“Wild how some folks still lie like it’s 1985 before texts and email were a thing,” she added.
Michaels concluded her post, writing: “And, the last image is my second to last text ever to Bob Harper. Take from it what you will.”
Legal deets:
Jillian Michaels reportedly told TMZ that she would be speaking to attorney Bryan Freedman. (If the name sounds familiar its because he’s currently representing Justin Baldoni in his media circus with Blake Lively.)
The publication reports that Jillian is “weighing up legal action against Netflix, the producer of the documentary, [Bob] Harper, and The Biggest Loser’s medical advisor”.
