Dancing With the Stars pro Sasha Farber may not be competing on Season 35, but he’s giving fans plenty of reason to believe they haven’t seen the last of him in the ballroom.
The longtime pro, who previously hinted that it wasn’t his choice to sit out as a full-time pro this season, posted a cryptic video featuring six of DWTS’ current pro dancers mouthing, “What are you doing here?” along to a trending Instagram sound.
A cardigan-clad and seemingly defeated Sasha then waved to the camera before sulking out of the ballroom. Tagging the official DWTS Instagram account, Sasha captioned the post, “Tune in and find out!!!”
Naturally, fans immediately began speculating about what Sasha could be teasing. “Is there a nice surprise coming up? Or are you teasing us?” one fan asked. Another commenter wondered, “✨ What are you teasing us with, Sasha? 😂💃🌟?”
Sasha also appeared alongside new DWTS pro Hailey Bills in a TikTok video. Hailey was promoted from the troupe for Season 35, and fans loved seeing the seasoned pro welcome the newcomer. “New duo unlocked,” one commenter wrote. “Definitely need more of you two dancing together!” another fan agreed.
ICYMI, Sasha previously revealed that stepping away from the full-time pro lineup wasn’t his choice. After ABC announced the official Season 35 cast of celebrity stars and professional dancers, fans noticed that Sasha was missing from the pairings.
In a since-deleted TikTok comment, Sasha responded to a fan who asked whether he had chosen to step away from the show. “Not my choice,” he replied.
Sasha’s role with Dancing With the Stars had already shifted during Season 34, when he served as the show’s social media correspondent rather than competing as a professional dancer.
