Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Heather Gay was faced with revisiting one of the franchise’s biggest mysteries during Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston … but her answer wasn’t what the audience wanted to hear.
During a panel with Andy Cohen, Heather was asked about her infamous black eye and the lingering questions surrounding what happened during the Season 3 cast trip. When Heather admitted she had answered questions about the incident countless times, she turned to Andy for help.
“I’ve answered what happened with the black eye so many times,” Heather said. “Like, Andy, help me out.”
Andy offered his take, responding, “I thought that Miss Shah was responsible,” referring to Heather’s former RHOSLC co-star Jen Shah.
Heather offered an explanation that didn’t sit well with the crowd. “The truth is, Jen [Shah] and I are going to have to figure it out … who did it to me at what time and what place,” Heather said.
Her response was immediately met with boos from the live audience.
Clearly frustrated by the reaction, Heather attempted to set the record straight about what she remembered from that night. “This is what happened,” she snapped.
“I was on a cast trip. We overdrank. I woke up. I had a black eye. Instead of going to the hospital or going home, I stayed and filmed,” she explained.
“I had no idea what had happened. I had no idea of how I was going to resolve it because I signed up for it years before.”
Heather concluded by acknowledging how difficult the experience was while making it clear she had moved forward. “I lived through it. It was horrible, and I’m still here. That’s all I have to say.”
