Gina Kirschenheiter’s ex-husband, Matt, just had a major health scare.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed that on March 15th, the father of her children suffered a heart attack.
“Wow. We had a scary weekend! Matt (the kiddos dad) suffered a heart attack Saturday! He’s only 40 years old!! Thank god Britt rushed him to the hospital and all the hospital staff acted quickly,” Gina began her post.
Gina and Matt share a son Nicholas (born June 23, 2012), a daughter named Sienna (born in 2014), and another son named Luca (born in August 2015).
“The kids were very shaken up but thankfully we can be smiling bc he will be okay! He came home today. The kids and Trav and I are so happy to have their dad back. This was too close of a call. Really puts things in perspective,” she continued.
Gina and Matt divorced in 2019 after Matt was unfaithful in their marriage.
After splitting, the New Yorker began dating Travis Mullen, who himself had three children. Matt married his partner, Britt Kirsch, in April of 2024.
“For anyone out there struggling to coparent, remember you are all a family and what matters most is that you all get to be there for your kids. Tomorrow is not promised, today is a gift,” Gina concludes.
