Rapper Abuser, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, shared an apology video to his Instagram page for beating, kicking, and dragging his former girlfriend, Cassandra ‘Cassie‘ Ventura, in a hotel lobby in 2016. The abuse recorded in the leaked video matches the description of the incident Cassie reported in her since-settled lawsuit.
Diddy’s apology came on the heels of CNN releasing the horrific video on May 17th of the incident.
Diddy’s apology:
“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was fucked up. I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.”
After claiming he’s sought professional help, Diddy continued his apology. “I’m so sorry. But, I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
Diddy never mentioned Cassie by name.

Diddy’s comment section blows up:
- You already posted saying Cassie was lying. Now this. WE DONT BELIEVE YOU BRO
- your saying sorry cause it came out. A month ago you said you were innocent
- People at his age don’t change. Addressing the public and not Ms. Ventura and God’s name is full proof that he’s a narcissistic sociopath.

Diddy did get some love in the comments. “U don’t owe anyone any explanation these MF out here acting like saints ❤️❤️🔥🔥 you’re family for life I stand with U.” Another wrote, “The man is posting an apology and here come people to tear that down we’re not GOD so let’s not judge.”
In case you’re not in the loop …
Cassie filed federal lawsuit that Diddy raped and physically abused her. She alleged she was punched, beaten, kicked, and stomped on in the legal docs … all of which were supported by the video in the recently released video. The former Making the Band host not only denied Cassie’s allegations, but called them “sickening.”
Cassie ended up settling the lawsuit with Diddy, but the mogul’s legal issues didn’t end there. In March of 2024, the Feds raided Diddy’s home in search of evidence for a variety of sex crimes. One of Diddy’s ‘protégés,’ Danity Kane‘s Aubrey O’Day, wrote, “What you sow, you shall reap. I pray this emboldens all of US victims to finally speak on what we have endured” in an Instagram story.
50 Cent entered the chat to share, “Respectfully, I’ve been telling y’all this for two decades and did anyone listen? No.”
