Dance Moms star, Christi Lukasiak, faces a DUI charge after a violent car crash. TMZ obtained the police report revealing she crashed her vehicle into a tree on June 27. The wreck left a “telephone pole hanging over Christi’s car.”
Driving under the influence:
Additionally, Christi was asked to comply by doing “standard field sobriety tests.” Officers reported she was “impaired and couldn’t safely operate a vehicle.”
Christi’s time on reality TV:
Chloe, Christi’s daughter, was a standout student on Dance Moms until Season 4. Christi butted heads with Abby Lee Miller, who she accused her of bullying Chloe. Later, she pulled her daughter out of Abby’s school. Christi and Chloe left the show following the feud with Abby Lee Miller, but returned for a guest appearance in season 7.
The mother-daughter dui returned to the Dance Moms franchise for Dance Moms: The Reunion, which aired May 1 on Lifetime. Lukasiak also hosted a clip show, Dance Mom: Epic Showdowns, which premiered on Lifetime in May.
Chloe was interviewed by BuzzFeed in May. “I wanted to be able to just go and speak my mind and address some of the issues that we never got to talk about before. It really truly felt like closing the book on Dance Moms, which was good for me. I needed that closure to move on and kind of leave Chloé from Dance Moms in the past and go forward as my own individual self.”
