The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives‘ Dakota Mortensen filed for a restraining order against Taylor Frankie Paul, whose season of The Bachelorette was canceled after seeing her being physically abusive to her ex, with one of her children in the room.
PEOPLE reported Dakota filed for a protective order against TFP, with whom he shares 2-year-old son Ever. A hearing has been set for April 7.
In case you blinked:
Dakota called the Utah Division of Child and Family Services several times. Last month, after The Bachelorette was wrapped, he claimed Taylor had been physically abusive to their son Ever, who turns 2 this week. TFP denied the accusations.
Taylor and Dakota have been ordered to get psych evaluations amid accusations of DV and child abuse. The psych evaluation has not been performed.

News of Dakota’s filing also comes hours after a video leaked of a violent altercation between TFP and Dakota in 2023. The video, which was posted by TMZ on Thursday, shows Taylor hitting Dakota while he records her.
“This is called physical abuse,” he says as Taylor attacked him. At one point, TFP can be seen throwing chairs at him while her daughter was present in the room. The child can be heard crying and crying out as Mortensen and Paul continue fighting.
Later in the video, Dakota can be heard exclaiming, “Your daughter just got hit in the head by a metal chair.”
The 2023 indictment alleged that Taylor threw “heavy, metal chairs” at Dakota. Even worse, TFP’s daughter was struck by a chair during the incident, which matches the events in the video.
During a follow-up interview, detectives on the case were also informed that their daughter had a large “goose egg” on her head, per the indictment.
