The second season of the Real Housewives of Dubai is almost over, and Caroline Brooks is calling for a cease fire toward Taleen and the Khanoyan family.
Throughout the sophomore season, Caroline and Taleen’s friendship ebb and flowed. Caroline brought Taleen into the friend group, which she understood to be blind loyalty. However, despite their decade long friendship, it came crumbling down when Taleen attempted to “trade” one Caroline for the next!
This resulted in a Twitter beef that ran alongside the episodes airing on Bravo.
Brooks looks out for Taleen and her husband:
Brooks took to her Instagram to appeal to her 300k followers to dial back on the hate they are sending Raf’s way. “This guy has been a friend of mine for YEARS!!” she began. “Although I don’t agree with the way he handled himself with me during the argument I had with Taleen, I don’t think he deserves the amount of hate he’s getting. I’m not in a good place with his wife but Raf is like a brother to me, he’s my guy. I miss him and I’m sad that he’s sad about the whole situation.”
The “situation” between Caroline and Taleen came to a head during Caroline Stanbury’s house warming party. Taleen found out Caroline alluded to her “begging” to be on the show.
The reunion revealed Caroline had taunted Taleen throughout much of the dinner and it was only until the end where Taleen and her husband “fought back.”
When I initially watched the episode, I was taken aback by the ferocity in which Raf was engaging in the fight. Having said that, Andy Cohen brought up a good point during part 1 of the RHODubai reunion. The fact that Caroline and Raf have a stronger relationship than Caroline and Taleen should “soften” Raf’s impact due to him being more than just a “househusband.” It’s clear there is a lot of love there. As the saying goes, there’s a thin line between love and hate!
Moving on peacefully:
“I’ve moved past it and he and I are in a better place. I encourage the viewers to move passed it and move on. I don’t feel the need to add fuel to the fire and discuss every last detail of what happened. But, in my heart I believe Rafi would never want to harm me. Season 2 is just about over and we are on to healing and repairing our friendships.”
“One thing the world doesn’t know is the actual amount of love some of us have for each other. That’s where the anger and passion comes from, it’s love and hurt. Rafi, Taleen and myself have our own “healing journey” we have to embark on.. As long time friends, we owe each other a second chance.”
Time will tell if the hatchet truly is buried between these two, but as we all could see, they sure do have fun together!
