Summer House fans showed up to support Loverboy‘s ‘Carl’s a Mess‘ merch line, which has raised 25k for Release Recovery Addiction Treatment Center, the foundation Carl is running the London Marathon to raise money for.
Carl’s a mess, but there’s an upside …
Kyle and Carl made a joint post to promote the services Release Recovery provides to help their community.
Kyle began, “Hey guys. Exciting news. We tallied up the donations for all the ‘Carl’s a mess’ merch we sold.” Carl continued, “We raised $25,000. I know ‘Carl’s a mess’ has been a little bit of light in a dark situation, but when Kyle came up with the whole thing, I was like, ‘Let’s donate some of the proceeds to mental health, addiction, and substance abuse services.”
“Release Recovery is getting a $25K donation because of your support of ‘Carl’s a mess.’ This literally is paying for someone’s treatment that can’t afford it. Friends of ours, people in your community, this is helping people save lives.”
“And by the way,” added Kyle, “Carl is about to hop on a flight to head to London to run the London Marathon to continue to raise money for Release Recovery.”
Carl concluded “Release Recovery is the community I for. We’re going to in London. There’s 20 of us. I’ve already raised about $6K for the run. Again, all the money is going to pay for someone’s rehab or treatment who can’t afford it.”
They concluded with a big thank you to their supporters for their generosity.
Their caption read, “🙏🏻 Carl’s a Mess = $25k for @releaserecovery. All because of our amazing summer house fans and bravo community. Thank you for your support!”
