Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor‘s divorce has been a “long time coming.” A source told People leaving Jax is “something Brittany knew she had to do for the best interest of herself and her son.”
Breaking the cycle:
The insider noted that “In order [for Brittany] to move forward and put a stop to this tumultuous cycle they’ve been living in,” she needed to cut ties with The Valley‘s villain.
“There’s a lot that has transpired over the past few months that she could not look past,” spilled the source. “This decision wasn’t made lightly but she feels adamant that it was the right one.”
Jax (who doesn’t believe in divorce):
It was alleged that the Jax’s Studio City namesake “is feeling mixed emotions,” but “knows this is the right decision.”
Ultimately, Jax “is sad that things ended up the way they have. It’s been an emotional month for him and he’s trying to stay strong for his son.” Never forget, Jax left a month-long in-patient treatment center less than a week ago.
