Bethenny Frankel is leaning into her “supermodel snacks” for her newest business venture.
The RHONY alum spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about Supermodel Cafe — a pop-up inspired by her viral better-for-you recipes that have become staples on her TikTok and Instagram.
“I’m a natural food chef,” Bethenny told the publication.
“My background is making normally unhealthy foods — or foods that people feel guilty about — better for you, or now, best for you.”
Bethenny says she’s always been motivated by creating healthier alternatives to indulgent foods, so coming up with better-for-you snacks came naturally.
“I was sneaking butternut squash into mac and cheese long before that was a modern popular thing. I’ve always renovated recipes,” she said.
The café will serve lattes, lighter bagels, protein-packed spreads and dips, caviar, low-calorie cheesecakes, along with gifts, cheeky merchandise, and products from brands Bethenny gives her stamp of approval.
The entrepreneur is also hopeful this career evolution will help redefine the brand philosophy that made Skinnygirl a household name.
“Supermodel’s a better term than Skinnygirl,” Bethenny said.
“Supermodel has a tongue-in-cheek wit to it, a fun to it, a flirt to it. You’re in on the joke.”
Supermodel Cafe officially opens on Aug. 13 in East Quogue, New York.
