Dina Manzo’s daughter, Lexi Ioannou, put Bethenny Frankel on blast for not supporting her business after gifting her a pair of shoes.
On May 15, the daughter of the RHONJ alum posted a video to Instagram calling out Bethenny for failing to tag her brand.
“Bethenny Frankel is a weirdo,” Lexi began. “I sent her a pair of shoes from Nou almost a year ago because I look up to her.”
For context, Nou is Lexi’s curated fashion line where she sources vintage clothing and shoes.
Because of the Bravo connection — and Bethenny’s business acumen — Lexi gifted her a pair of heels.
Yesterday, B posted a video wearing the shoes, and the comments immediately filled with people asking where she got them.
Instead of tagging Nou, Bethenny (or her social media manager) linked “dupes” followers could purchase instead.
“She got the shoes for free from a woman-founded brand, mine, and then she made money sending her followers somewhere else,” Lexi said.
You Don’t Support Other Women
The former Real Housewives of New York star responded to both Lexi and Dina, who also posted in support of her daughter.
Bethenny alleged that her team posted the fit check and, because the shoes Lexi sent were sold out, they linked a similar pair instead.
“The audience gets frustrated when they can’t buy something immediately. Why would I wear and talk about it if they can’t buy it,” B began in her rebuttal.
She continued by adding that she has no obligation to post, tag, or link gifted items.
“Whining and being a cry baby about something that didn’t go your way in business means you’re not a real business person,” Bethenny continued.
“You have a lot to learn because I would have worn all the shoes on your site and you would have sold thousands of pairs and made hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
Well, I have to imagine Bethenny’s TikTok response to Lexi is about to accomplish the very thing she insisted she could have done for Lexi.
Isn’t that ironic?
