Bethenny Frankel‘s unfiltered rant about And Just Like That… was brutal, but sadly, on point for fans of its source material.
The Real Housewives of New York alum took to social media to criticize the revival series of Sex and the City.
For context … Bethenny felt it fair to annihilate And Just Like That… after they made a joke at her expense during the season 2 premiere. The joke was that the former RHONY star would be a deterrent from purchasing a home in the Hamptons.
B thinks AJLT “sucks”:
“This is the worst show ever,” began Bethenny, a Sex and the City fan. “Honestly, this is ‘from hero to zero.’ It’s the most bizarre, forced show.”
Painting a picture of her disdain, she elaborated, “25 pounds of disaster in a 5-pound bag. And yep, it explodes.” … Much like the toilet in the series finale.
“Everybody’s just a weird caricature of themselves.” Bethenny made a hilarious ‘Goofy’ inspired sound to represent what became of the Aiden Shaw character.
B spoke metaphorically, “Put it in the back and shoot it. Put it to rest.”
Kristi Noem must have heard B’s cry because the show is dead.
Showrunner Michael Patrick King announced the news on August 1. “And just like that… the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end.”
Bethenny concluded her rant by paying homage to one of her former RHONY taglines, which an extra dose of snark – “If you’re going to take a shot at this B, you better not miss … and you guys missed.”
