Andy Cohen weighed in on Karen Huger‘s drunk driving arrest. Bravo TV‘s daddy told People, “I haven’t really processed it yet,”
The TV personality continued, “But, I think it’s very sad. I think it’s all sad.”
Karen’s crimes:
The “Grande Dame” crossed a median and struck multiple street signs but was not injured at the time of the crash. Thankfully, no one else was hurt.
After the March 19 incident, Karen, 61, was charged with a DUI and DWI, negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property.
Other charges include failure to control vehicle speed on the highway to avoid a collision, driving a vehicle in excess of reasonable and prudent speed on the highway, driving a vehicle on the highway with suspended registration, and failure to notify administration of change of address within 30 days.
Karen was found guilty on all charges except reckless driving.
At the time, the Montgomery County Police Department confirmed that the RHOP star had been involved in a single-vehicle collision in Potomac. Law enforcement said the television personality crossed a median and struck multiple street signs but was not injured at the time of the crash.
At the time of the incident, she was not arrested, however, she received several citations.
The scene of the crime:
“Just before midnight on March 19, 2024, authorities said Huger crashed her car near Oaklyn Drive in Potomac. A man who witnessed the wreckage testified that the car smelled like alcohol. Other witnesses who testified in court Tuesday included a volunteer EMT, along with two police officers.”
An EMT told the jury, that “Huger refused treatment on the scene.” Also, she “swayed” as she tried to get into the ambulance. Once inside the ambulance, she testified Huger used profanity towards the first responders.”
The EMT testified, that Huger told them to “f*ck off” and “go f*ck yourselves” on more than one occasion.
