The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago to overwhelmingly positive reviews.
PEOPLE had boots on the ground, as did Whitney’s TSLOMW costars Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Miranda McWhorter, Layla Taylor, and Jen Affleck. Whitney’s husband, Conner Leavitt, excitedly gave his wife a standing ovation, according to the publication.

Whitney’s Broadway debut was a success. While fans know Whitney was a dance major in college, she also competed on Dancing With the Stars. What surprised many was Whitney’s solid vocals.

The magic of the night brought the mom of three to tears. As she held a bouquet of flowers given to her by the company, the DWTS season 34 semi-finalist was visibly emotional. Her eyes welled as the crowd roared after her debut performance.
She ended the show by taking another solo bow before joining Sophie Carmen-Jones, who plays Velma Kelly, for an embrace. The two waved goodbye to the house together as they dramatically descended below the stage.

This is Leavitt’s Broadway debut, and her first ever professional theater role.

After her opening night curtain call, Whitney joined Conner and their costars from TSLOMW for an afterparty celebration at Glass House Tavern.
Yes- the bash was captured by Hulu cameras for an upcoming season of Mormon Wives.
Whitney’s stint in Chicago continues through March 15.
