Southern Charm‘s Venita Aspen is “disappointed” in how Craig Conover has spoken about him since Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo ended their relationship.
Venita responded to Craig saying she is “not entitled” to his friendship during a live stream on Instagram. She shared a status update as to her friendship with Craig with Deadline.
Craig is not a friend:
“I’m quite disappointed. I don’t operate like that from a friendship level. If it’s a new friend, an old friend, or a friend that I’ve had back and forth with. I think that I would have preferred him to be the quarterback that he is and lead his teammates in whatever direction he wanted us to go to versus deeming people who go against whatever he wants unworthy of friendship. We don’t talk, so what was I supposed to do?”
“It doesn’t take much. [Just] say, ‘Hey, I know we’re doing a job, but I really appreciate it if you got asked about our relationship, you didn’t talk about it.’ I would have said, ‘I completely understand.’”
Boy, bye:
Venita is dunzo with Craig, unless he initiates a conversation. “It would have to come from him. I’ve never been one to shut him out or say I’m not interested in being friends with him based off of things he said about me in the past.”
The fashionista continued, “I just kind of let it roll. I deal with the person that’s in front of me. If he would want to take the time to schedule something to talk to me, or pick up the phone, or send a text message, like most people do, I would highly appreciate it.”
“But, I’m not going to be the one to make the first move on that. He’s already declared what he wants. So who might go against that, right?”
Paige looked out for the Southern Charm personality:
Venetia revealed the Giggly Squad podcast host reached out to her after she saw Craig’s comments on WWHL. “She was quite disappointed in what she saw.”
Paige “reached out to me to check in [and] to make sure I was doing okay.” Venita thought it was “really nice.”
On the flip side, Madison LeCroy went on the record to say Paige has “ghosted” her since she stopped dating Craig. The expectant mother noted she didn’t even reach out when she announced her pregnancy.
