Days ago, Val posted a video of him dancing with his Season 35 partner, Jenna Dewan, and her competitor, Guillermo Rodriguez. Val had his hair styled in cornrows, which resulted in many fans calling the hairstyle “cultural appropriation.”

Hours ahead of showtime, Val posted another video to social media. This time, his braids were undone.
He angled his camera to show off his loose locks, which was pulled back into a messy bun. Val finished off his snarky video by blowing a kiss at the camera and saying, “Love you guys.”
Val fans picked up on the shade he was putting down. “He said, “YALL HAPPY NOW?!?!?” Another commented, “The smirk after showing the hair 😭.”
