Alex Cooper named internet sensation, Trisha Paytas, “The first Unwell Lifetime Achievement Award for online excellence and peak insanity” during the first night of The Unwell Vegas Weekend.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Heather Gay presented the award to Trisha as Meredith Marks kept the vibe alive as the show’s DJ.
The Call Her Daddy host gave Trisha Paytas her well-deserved flowers:
Alex honored the YouTuber. “This woman hasn’t just shaped the internet. She broke it, she tore it apart, and then she put the pieces back together again.”
“She has given us pop songs, mukbangs, and meltdowns. She’s been the queen of the internet since before the internet.”
“She’s unfiltered, unedited, and completely unforgettable.”
The Life Of A Showgirl:
Trisha Paytas beamed as she thanked Alex for the honor. “This may be my first and last time getting an award, so I want to make it count.”
The internet sensation thanked Alex for the fake award she would have “manifested in a Taco Bell drive-thru at three am.”
“People always ask me, ‘Trish, did you plan all this: the meltdowns, the mukbangs, the videos, the feuds, the weddings, the retirements, the un-retirements? My answer is always, ‘Absolutely not. I’m just vibing. And, apparently, it gets you a Lifetime Achievement Award.”
“When I started,” continued Trisha, “I didn’t think anything about shaping memes or inventing performance art. I was literally just talking to a camera in my pink kitchen with Cheeto dust on my fingers. In real life, no one wanted to hear me talk about Quentin Tarantino’s foot fetish for 45 minutes straight.”
“But, the internet said, ‘Yes, girl; yes, mama. Give us more of that.'”
“Now, here I am. A cultural icon or a cautionary tale, tomAto/tomAHto! I’ve been canceled more times than I’ve been married, and that says a lot.”
“Through the chaos, the tears, the trolling, the mukbangs, the trolling during mukbangs, I never stopped being me: messy, unfiltered, sometimes Unwell, oversharing to the point where my therapist has to send me Cease and Desist letters.”
“I want to thank my haters because you really carried me through. Every mean Reddit thread, every problematic Trish compilation, babes … that’s free PR. You’re basically my marketing team. Unionize already.”
Then, Trisha moved on to her “actual fans.”
“You beautiful, delusional angels have stuck by me even when I announced my retirement 67 times. You get me, you are me.”
“The internet is insane, but life is insane. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that insanity can be beautiful, it can be healing, and it can be iconic. Sometimes, it gets you trending for the wrong reasons. But sometimes, it gets you trending for the right reasons.”
“Tonight, this is peak insanity, in the best way. Here’s to the insanity – the breakdown and the breakthroughs, to all the wigs I sweat through, all the songs I’ve auto-tuned, and all the TikToks I made in traffic.”
“Here’s to surviving the internet, and somehow thriving on it.”
“To whoever in the audience is thinking, ‘Why is she being honored?’ Just remember … half the shit you laugh at online exists because I did it first.”
