The Valley’s Lala Kent reflected on her final season of Vanderpump Rules and how she would have handled Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss‘ Scandoval differently.
During her 10 Things I Hate About Lala edition of her Traditionally Lala podcast, the mom of two responded to fans who turned on her over the years.
The fan’s grievance:
Lala’s listener spilled why she lost her as a fan. “Your last season of Vanderpump Rules just lost me, lost me. The energy that you had at the Sandoval reunion, going after Sandoval and Raquel, I feel like it just flipped during the last season. And I know you were going through a lot. I just felt like it was not you, and maybe it wasn’t your thing, but I just felt like you weren’t a girl’s girl. You were being hypocritical. And I feel like you just bet on the wrong horse and you lost a lot of fans.”
“You’re absolutely right,” Lala said validating her listener. “And if I could go back and pinpoint my emotions and convey them the right way.”
Lala reflected on being thought of as a scorned woman on season 10. “I was angry. And then I just happened to be right [about Tom Sandoval]. So everybody put me on a pedestal. Cut to season 11. My adrenaline has now faded. I’m very vulnerable. I’m emotional.”
Stress from co-parenting with Randall Emmett caught up with the single mom. “I’m sinking into the fact that like I have to share my child, and that’s just it is what it is.”
“The fight was gone. I wish I could have gone about it differently. I have a lot of regrets.” Lala confessed, “I have a lot of shame.”
They didn’t let the mouse go:
“Your whole thing was, ‘I don’t want you in my circle if you’re communicating with Randall,'” continued Lala’s former fan. “Obviously, there’s a kid involved, so it is a little bit different. But that cutthroat energy. I feel like it should have been the same for all the other girls.”
Lala agreed. “It should have been. I should have been able to take a step back and say, not everyone’s healing process or situation is the same as mine. And whatever you need in this moment, I need to have your back. I didn’t do that.”
“However, getting the heat that I got on season 11, if I could go back, I don’t know that I would have given the two people who were responsible for Scandoval of all that much heat because it was intense.”
