A game of murrrder and deceit has taken the 2026 Emmy Awards by storm with a whopping six nominations.
The Traitors US season 4 was nominated for Outstanding Reality Competition, Outstanding Production Design for a Variety or Reality Series, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program.
Lastly, Alan Cumming was nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition Program. Alan is nominated against some heavy hitters. His competition is RuPaul Charles for RuPaul’s Drag Race, Ariana Madix for Love Island USA, Kristen Kish of Top Chef, and Jeff Probst of Survivor.
Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion actor Alan Cumming won the category for the past two years for his work on The Traitors US. Before Alan’s reign, RuPaul had taken the Emmy for eight consecutive years. The first time reality TV was included in the running was in 2008, with Survivor host Probst taking the Emmy for the first four years.
The 2026 Emmy Award winners will be announced during the live broadcast ceremony hosted by Mariska Hargitay on Sunday, September 14, 2026, streaming on Peacock.
