Sophia Bush could have been our newest diamond holder… if not for a missed text from Bozoma Saint John!
The One Tree Hill alum joined her good friend Boz onstage at Create & Cultivate for a live taping of her podcast, Work in Progress. That’s where Bozoma revealed she actually reached out to Sophia about joining the RHOBH cast.
Only problem? Sophia never responded!
“Sophia would make a great Housewife, right?” Boz said to the crowd on July 19. “I texted her in April—I’m telling all your business—I was like, ‘Hey, I need to ask you a controversial question.’”
Sophia chimed in with a laugh, admitting she’s a “terrible texter” and didn’t even realize she missed the message until she went to send Boz an excited text about seeing her on the panel.
Boz believed Sophia would bring something refreshing to the 90210 franchise.
“We need more women who are self-possessed, who enjoy their relationships with other women, who understand conflict and drama—not because they want to put on a spectacle, but because that’s just what life is—and are unafraid to talk about the hard stuff.”
Because of her friendship with one of the newest housewives, Sophia did start tuning in, and admitted that Boz is “modeling a healthier way” to be a reality star.
For those of you who’ve followed Taste of Reality for a while, you already know my deep admiration for Sophia. I’ve been lucky enough to be around her several times, and let me tell you—her authenticity and activism precede her. She’s the real deal.
I’d love to see more of this friendship blossom… but is Bravo really the best place for it?
