If there’s one thing Sutton and Scheana have in common, it’s publicly losing a best friend at the hands of reality TV.
The RHOBH star recently joined Scheana Shay on an episode of Scheananigans, where the Bravolebs commiserated over friendship breakups.
“Obviously, it’s difficult. I struggle with it still. It’s just so sad,” Sutton admitted on the March 27 episode.
“It’s like a death.”
Sutton went on to call her fractured friendship with Garcelle Beauvais a “big loss.”
ICYMI: Garcelle exited RHOBH following the season 14 reunion — and left her friendship with Sutton behind.
From Garcelle’s POV, she felt betrayed and ultimately believed Sutton didn’t have her back within the group or take accountability.
The breakup between the RHOBH duo is something Scheana could relate to.
“I went through a very similar thing with my best friend of 15 years,” she revealed.
“After our last season, I was going through a lot personally that I wasn’t sharing at the time in my marriage. I acted out of character. I said things out of pocket,” Scheana said.
The VPR alum admitted she has “many regrets” about how she handled her friendship with Ariana Madix following the infamous Scandoval that shook the Bravoverse.
“Sure, my actions were a part of that,” Scheana continued.
“But that’s still something I struggle with on a regular basis. I miss that friendship.”
Sutton and Scheana might just be the cautionary tale of what happens when the show — and certain alliances — come before real-life friendships.
