Meredith Marks opens up about her marital woes with her husband, Seth Marks.
Last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City featured a couple’s trip to Palm Springs.
Seth tells Meredith he’s leaving the trip early (the following morning) to go back to work in Ohio.
Understandably so, the bath lover was not happy with her husband dipping out on a COUPLE’S trip. It’s awkward when everyone else is there with their spouses. Especially given Meredith was at odds with Whitney Rose and Angie K’s husband, Shawn.
However, on the RHOSLC After Show, Mere is providing additional context to she and Seth’s current dynamic.
Seth Marks Leaving a Mark
“Seth and I have lived in a lot of different places,” the Bravo star begins.
The luxury jeweler details that when the couple lived in Chicago 18 years ago, Seth’s then arrangement was commuting into Toronto, Canada, Tuesday to Thursday. Which then became Monday to Friday. Eventually the family relocated due to the strenuous toll the commute had on Seth.
Rinse repeat.
“It snowballs into this beast where it’s like hard for us to even connect.”
“We’ve worked so hard to get to such a great place, and now I feel like we’ve kind of gotten things under control a bit more.”
“Some weeks aren’t so great because we’re both totally overscheduled in different places, but we’re both making a really big effort to try to get to the other one. “
“I feel good about it today, but at the time, I was upset and scared,” she concludes.
In the same segment, Mary Cosby says that both Seth and Meredith should have discussed their schedules prior to the trip, which could have avoided the tension. She also feels as though Seth just shouldn’t have gone if he couldn’t commit to the full duration of the trip. I agree with Mary on this.
Each week I remain amazed that Mary M. Cosby is the voice of reason and the “narrator” this season. Who would have thought??
