Former Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer is enjoying her Golden Years in Palm Beach, Florida, while filming E!‘s The Golden Life.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Ramona boasted, “I’m so excited,” for a new show on a new network. “I like E! because it’s a different show. It’s not about women attacking women.”
Ramona noted the show follows the cast “enjoying the best part of our lives.”
“Now our children are grown and we’re living our best lives. I like to golf, play tennis, have lunches, and do dinner parties. But there’s still, you know, a little altercation, but not that real negative energy. Which I love.”
Ramona’s role is “the peacemaker,” but she confirmed that viewers will see some of the women “crying over emotion.” She credits her move from the Big Apple to Florida for her newfound zen. “I feel like I’m a psychologist. It’s a very different role for me.”
“I’m just at a different stage of my life. I’m really happy within,” Ramona gushed. “I think living in Palm Beach the past four years has been very good for me emotionally and mentally.”
Ramona’s new era includes believing “there’s no reason to fight and get angry. If someone is fighting and angry, there’s a deeper reason. Like, why are you angry? Let’s unpeel the layers. Let’s get to the heart of it.”
“We’re really getting to know each other better, even though we’ve been like family, but we’re opening up more.” She teased, “And yes, there are a couple of women who actually got very emotional and were crying.”
Ramona is filming The Golden Life with Sonja Morgan, Kelly Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, and Dorinda Medley. Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin also call Florida home, but are not featured on the show.
The Golden Life will premiere on E! this fall.
