Nicole Martin explains her decision to exit The Real Housewives of Miami.
Someone sedate me because I am still not okay with the fact Dr. Nicole is no longer appearing on The Real Housewives of Miami.
In Case You Missed It: On September 13, news broke that Nicole was leaving the franchise after three seasons. Prior to the official announcement, rumors swirled that the anesthesiologist was leaving the show, but we had hope.

Nicole cited postpartum anxiety as the reason for her hiatus. The mother of two gave birth to a baby girl, Genevieve, in March. Because of arriving 5 weeks early, Genevieve had lengthy NICU stay as well as suffered complications.
“I have decided not to return to RHOM,” Nicole said in part in an instagram post.
“Prioritizing my health and my family is something I need to do at this moment. It’s a step towards healing and finding balance, and I hope you can understand and support this choice.”

Today, the Miami native hosted an “Ask Me Anything” segment on Instagram where her followers had the opportunity to submit questions.
Because she knows the tea we all want spilled, she indulged us Bravo lovers.
Question: You think you’ll ever return to Housewives?
Answer: Not sure. I keep in touch with some of the girls and miss aspects of filming (my friends, the crew, production, the glam etc) but it can also be very toxic environment at times. Right now, my peace of mind and family are top priority.
Question: How are you feeling about your decision not to be on RHOM this year?
Answer: As happy as Gena is. I’ve loved having more time to prioritize my heath and family.
Question: Why are you not on the next season of Miami? Real reason
Answer: I think I’ve been pretty open about my decision and reasons for wanting to leave.
Question: How do you feel that they replaced you with Steph? Wow she’s uber uber fabulous and rich.
Answer: I’ve never met Steph and don’t know her. But can totally see why they wanted her on the show. She brings a lot to RHOM — successful business, marriage, lifestyle, opulence, and ties to the cast. Seems reasonable to me,
I’ll certainly miss Dr. Nicole, but I have a feeling it won’t be the last we’ll see of her on our screens!
