Miss J Alexander — the legendary runway coach and judge who helped define America’s Next Top Model — is in need of support following a life-altering health battle.
The fashion icon’s friend and talent manager, Steven Grossman, has launched a GoFundMe to help cover ongoing medical treatment, specialized care, rehab services, and daily living support.
Miss J revealed in Netflix’s Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model that he suffered a stroke in 2022, spending five months in a coma and waking up unable to walk or speak.
He later endured additional mini-strokes, seizures, and multiple hospitalizations during a nearly 18-month rehabilitation journey.
In one of the documentary’s most emotional moments, Miss J reflected on the irony of once teaching aspiring models how to walk the runway — while now fighting to walk again himself.
The fundraiser, currently nearing $10K of its $100K goal, reads in part:
“If Miss J.’s kindness, humor, and iconic presence have ever made you smile or laugh, please consider giving back during this difficult time.”
Per Miss J on the Netflix documentary, his former close friend Tyra Banks hasn’t shown up for him during his recovery journey.
I think a donation from her could go a long way…
