Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Milania Giudice is “under the care of professionals” following a tense airport encounter with her mom, Teresa Giudice, and sister, Gia Giudice.
“Milania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and all of us are doing everything we can to support her as she navigates an incredibly difficult time in her life, particularly following the devastating loss of her best friend, Victoria,” said a friend/manager of Milania’s in a statement to Page Six.
Milania’s team added that she “is currently surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family.”
The 20-year-old’s rep described her as “a good-hearted and caring young woman who has been going through a very challenging period.” Milania’s “focus right now is simply on her health, healing, and well-being.”
“In time, she hopes that being open about her experiences may help other young people facing their own struggles, but for now, we ask for compassion and privacy as she and her family continue to navigate this together,” the statement concluded.
The statement comes after a tense encounter involving Milania, Teresa and Gia at Tampa International Airport on Wednesday.
According to an incident report, police were alerted that “multiple females need police ASAP.” The report also stated that Milania had “got away” and was separated from a counselor who was also at the scene.
Milania was reportedly located about 10 minutes later and escorted by police to her gate.
Joe Giudice, Milania’s father, has also spoken about the difficult period his daughter has been experiencing. He previously said the July death of Milania’s close friend, Victoria Zardoya, “affected” his daughter “tremendously.”
