Michelle Saniei dropped the bombshell that the director her ex, Jesse Lally, accused her of having an affair with is Quentin Tarantino.
The Valleyย star’s revelation was made on her podcast, In Pursuit of Sassiness.
Name dropped!
Michelle told the full story of how she met the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood director to her boyfriend, Aaron Nosler.
The couple brought up the conversation from season one of The Valley when Michelle’s ex accused her of sleeping with a famous director.
Michelle, a real estate agent, explained, “I meet so many people. I say that time and time again because it really is part of the work that I do. In order to sell these types of houses, you have to know who these people are and you have to create friendships and relationships to have these clients. So, I’ve emphasized that because that is part of my job to prospect.”
“And, I did live across the street from Chateau Marmont. So, I would go there often. Many celebrities go there. I’ve befriended a ton of people.”
Isabella Buny’s mom cut to the chase and named the director her daughter’s father accused her of sleeping with … “The director was Quentin Tarantino.”
“He hangs out at Chateau all the time. Whenever he needs to work, that’s where he works from.”
“One day, I was hanging out there, and he’s actually sitting next to me. And I don’t really quite know who he is, but I see that everybody’s looking at him and wanting to talk to him. I’m not paying any attention.”
“People are paying attention to him, trying to say hi to him, and I’m not. I’m just minding my own business.” Aaron called Michelle out for not only not being a fan … she’s never seen a QT film “until just the other day.”
“Thirty minutes later, we start having a conversation because he’s literally next to me. We had a great conversation. I started talking about real estate [and] actually had a really cool listing nearby.”
“I was like, ‘Hey, if you ever need a movie, you should totally do your movie at this house. [Then,] I explained why he wanted to see pictures and it was just like very good back and forth. He told me about the first time he bought his house, what it was like becoming a famous director while he was living in an apartment in West Hollywood, and how the evolution came. So, it’s great conversation.”
Enter Jesse Lally, the actor:
“I had actually text Jesse because he’s at the house with Isabella … I’m hanging out with Quentin Tarantino. I’m like, ‘Come down if you have time.’ So, he comes down that day with Isabella.”
“I introduce [them] immediately and I’m like, ‘This is my husband, this is my daughter. Quentin actually has a child, similar age [to] Isabella. So, we just start talking about children and Jesse hangs out with us for a couple of minutes.”
“Then Jesse’s like, okay, why don’t you go home with Isabella? It’s my time now.”
Jesse “wanted to hang out” with the Reservoir Dogs director. “He wanted to have fun. He wanted like to have his moment.”
Michelle going to let Jesse poach Quentin. “I’m like, ‘No. You hang out with Isabella. This is my moment. Like, this is my lead. This is my day and I take care of our child every day.”
“Jesse’s the opposite of me. He wanted to be an actor. So, he knew exactly who Quintin was and he wantedโฆ”
“He was trying to get into a movie,” wondered Aaron. “Absolutely,” answered Michelle. “I’m sure. So, he was like, ‘Can I hang out here?'”
After telling Jesse “No,” he “actually got mad.” The pair went back and forth before Jesse finally gave in and took Isabella.
“So, to this day, [Quentin Tarantino is] a friend of mine. I emailed him here and there. I even told him about our podcast here. So, maybe one day I’ll have him on … if he has time or if he’s around.”
“But he’s a great friend. He’s a great person, has a lovely wife and child, and that’s it.”
