Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks responded to Heather McDonald‘s criticism of her $70K winter ski rental and claims Meredith spends outside of her means.
Heather has concerns:
The Juicy Scoop podcast host and comedian opined, “Meredith Marks gives a tour of her $70k per month home rental. What the f*ck are you doing?!”
“These shows do not pay enough. The money from your caviar and your DJ gigs does not pay enough. Who are you proving this to?”
Heather described the “fake rich” trope on Real Housewives. “It’s more stressful for us to see you waste money when we’ve been watching these shows for 20 years.”
“We know what happens when you’re spending more than you should to appear to look rich. You’re making maybe $110k a year on this show. Watch a makeup tutorial and get a smaller place.”
It’s actually romantic:
Meredith made note of how it’s actually sweet that Heather spent so much time thinking about her and her income streams.
“While I have not spoken about what I spend, I appreciate your concern.”
Meredith agreed with Heather’s point. “It is not responsible to spend what you cannot afford.” That’s when the bath enthusiast had her mic drop moment …

As per Meredith, her jet-setting keeps her from settling into a home. Seth and Meredith rent because they live in both Salt Lake City and NYC “part-time.” Lately, they’ve spent a lot of time in New York because all three of their kids live in the city. Brooks Marks even starred on season one of Next Gen NYC, which Meredith and Seth appeared on regularly.
“We’re in Salt Lake part-time. We’re kind of in New York part-time.” Meredith continued, “We’re kind of everywhere part-time.”
“I think between Park City, New York, LA, Europe, [and] Miami. That’s kind of my rotation.”
Meredith boasted, “Occasionally Asia’s thrown into the mix. But, I think that’s pretty much my basic rotation. It’s good.”
