There’s been plenty of speculation about what happened to Maura Higgin‘s Birkin during her Dancing With the Stars performance.
I had boots on the ground on the ballroom floor for Season 35’s two-night premiere, and had eyes on Maura’s instantly iconic Birkin all night. Therefore, I can confirm the pricey purse was safe the entire time, despite Rob putting it on the ground momentarily.
During Maura’s first performance – which was Traitors themed – viewers thought her professional partner, Mark Ballas, threw the Birkin into the crowd as part of the choreography.
But that wasn’t the real Birkin. The Birkin seen being tossed was a prop.
Meanwhile, Maura’s real Birkin was being taken care of by Rob Rausch throughout the show. As a Traitor, Rob betrayed Maura, his ally, in the finale. He promised her the luxury bag as an apology.
Rob (and the Birkin) attended the show with former RHOBH star Lisa Rinna, who competed with Rob, Maura, and Mark Ballas on The Traitors.
The Love Island USA alum may have played the best Traitors game to date, but Lisa Rinna proved to be the ultimate Faithful after she helped Rob get Maura Higgins the Birkin bag he promised her after his betrayal on The Traitors US.
Rinna took to TikTok to “talk about the Birkin bag!”
“I’m so excited about the bag,” began Lisa. I’m so excited that we got to come full circle. You can see how happy Maura is.”
“Of course,” Lisa helped Rob buy the Hermès bag, which customers can only acquire if they have a relationship with a sales associate and spend a significant amount of money on other products. “I said I would, and we did it. We got it for her.”
“It was so fun helping Rob. It all worked out so magically. Then, for Rob to give it to Maura on Watch What Happens Live just tickled me. All of it has brought me so much joy.”
