RHORI’s Liz McGraw is denying that her exit from the show has anything to do with recent headlines.
The now-former Housewife shared a clarifying statement just hours after announcing she wouldn’t be returning for a second season.
“It’s fascinating to me how everyone assumes my reason for leaving involves being afraid of ‘skeletons’ or ‘jail’,” Liz wrote on July 1.
She continued:
“If there were even an ounce of validity to it, I’d not have ever gone on a show! I realize that for some, it feels good to speculate, hate and defame my character, but I have never been investigated.”
Liz revealed the insinuations have been local fodder for years and denied there’s any truth to the rumors.
ICYMI: Liz introduced Dino to viewers as one of her oldest friends.
He also previously dated her co-star Kelsey Swanson more than a decade ago.
However, Dino is currently facing seven felony charges and one misdemeanor charge, including allegations of drug dealing, fraudulently obtaining COVID-19 relief funds, and conspiracy.
The charges were filed in 2022 but are only now heading to trial.
If convicted on all counts, he could face a maximum sentence of 88 years.
Speaking of legal action…
Now that she’s addressed the speculation, Liz says she’s prepared to take legal action against those spreading false claims about her alleged connection to his case.
“Now that I have time on my hands, I will start the process of holding those originating and spreading such fiction accountable.”
