Liz McGraw is saying goodbye to The Real Housewives of Rhode Island after just one season.
The fan favorite announced on Instagram that she’s decided to step away from the franchise.
“I’m full of gratitude for the amazing opportunity to appear on this show,” Liz wrote on July 1.
“As filming for Season 2 begins, I have made the decision to take a step back and focus on my family, my work and my passions.”
Social Media Reacts:
- The door is always open…. Just sayin’! ❤️🙌 — Andy Cohen
- You will be so missed. Hope to see you return one day! — Tamra Judge
- Enjoy the summa, dolly ❤️❤️ — Ashley Iaconetti
- 💜💜💜 — Rulla
The news doesn’t come as a complete shock, given the rumors that she’d be leaving.
Then there was the Season 1 reunion, where Liz seemed emotionally and mentally drained by everything that unfolded throughout the season.
She also previously shared that she felt uncomfortable filming at times, saying she was one of the more “mature” women in the cast.
Even so, Liz is leaving with nothing but love for her castmates.
“The RHORI cast is an amazing group of women who have created something special. I’ll be watching next season, rooting for the continued success of this franchise,” she continued.
The one-season wonder added that she’s looking forward to enjoying this little corner of the world from the “other side” of the camera.
ICYMI: Filming for Season 2 is expected to begin soon.
