Every time a bell rings, another reality star lands on Broadway – and this time, it’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna.
The Melrose Place actress is trading the Los Angeles drama for Bedford Falls this holiday season. Rinna and her husband, Harry Hamlin, are joining Broadway’s upcoming production of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play alongside Broadway heavy-hitters Andrew Rannells, Megan Hilty, and Tituss Burgess.
The limited engagement begins previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on November 4, before officially opening November 18. The production is scheduled to run through January 3, 2027, giving fans just nine weeks to catch the holiday spectacle.
Rather than simply recreating the beloved 1946 movie, the production transports audiences to a 1940s radio studio, where actors perform the classic story live on air.
A Foley artist will create sound effects onstage, while the cast brings the residents of Bedford Falls to life, with holiday carols adding to the Christmas magic.
Girls actor Andrew Rannells will star as George Bailey, while Smash alum Megan Hilty will play his wife, Mary Bailey. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Titus Burgess will portray George’s guardian angel, Clarence, along with additional characters.
Meanwhile, TV actor Harry Hamlin will play the villainous Mr. Potter and other roles, while his wife, Lisa Rinna, takes on Violet and additional characters.
For Rinna, the production marks a return to Broadway nearly two decades after she starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago in 2007. Hamlin also appeared in that production as Billy Flynn, meaning the husband-and-wife duo is once again sharing the Broadway stage.
Tickets to It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play are now on sale.
