Hilary Duff admitted to crashing Lindsay Lohan‘s premiere party for Freaky Friday on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
The 38-year-old pop star and actress had a well-documented feud with fellow child star Lindsay back in the early aughts.
What really went down:
Alex Cooper asked Hilary if she “intentionally” crashed LiLo’s 2023 premiere.
She replied, “I think absolutely yes. I was a teenager.”
Hilary added that her costar from A Cinderella Story, Chad Michael Murray, who was also the leading man in Freaky Friday, was the one to get Hilary an invitation.
“I don’t wanna start any more stuff, But, he was like, ‘You should come with me.’ And I was like, ‘Mhmm. Probably I should.’”
Alex followed up by asking if the Lizzie McGuire actress was “surprised” when Lindsay showed up at the premiere of her film, Cheaper by the Dozen, later that year:
“No,” answered Hilary.
“I mean, that was, like, my childhood nemesis,” she quipped.
“I’m sure my publicist will be like, ‘What the f*ck are you doing?’ But now it’s so many years later. Who cares? It does not matter.”
Fences between the tween-to-teen-to-adult superstars were mended years ago:
According to Hilary, she and Lindsay buried the hatchet years ago. “Lindsay came up to me at a club once and was like, ‘Are we good?’ I was like, ‘We’re good.’” Lindsay suggested, “Let’s take a shot.”
“It was amazing.”
ICYMI: Some of the drama between Hilary and Lindsay stemmed from their simultaneous relationships with the late Aaron Carter. “This is where all this stuff started.”
Plot twist, Hilary’s seven-year-old daughter is a “Lindsay Lohan stan” and “obviously” doesn’t know about their early aughts feuding.
Again, Hilary’s press tour for her album luck… or something is ‘What [millennial] Dreams Are Made Of’ …
