Lala Kent reveals the name of her second daughter, Sosa Kent.
If you’re like me, and went to high school in the early 2010s, the chorus to “Love Sosa” by Chief Keef is playing on repeat.
However, if you’re Lala Kent, its the name of her baby girl.
The Vanderpump Rules star debuted her daughter’s name on Instagram to her 2.4 million followers.
“Sosa Kent 🤍” the VPR star captioned on September 9th.

On September 4th, the new mother of 2 shared that her daughter was born on September 3rd. The IG story was a black screen with baby cries in the background.
Today, we finally saw a tiny glimpse of baby girl.
Name Origins of Baby #2
There was zero context provided on what led to the name, the origin, or any other birth sentiments. Though, I’m sure an upcoming Give Them Lala episode will answer those questions.
However, I doubt it’s an ode to a 2012 rap song or a famous Chicago Cubs outfielder. Aka, Sammy Sosa.
According to Google, its a derivative of a Portuguese word meaning “salt water.” With her 3-year-old daughter’s name being Ocean, it’s safe to assume that’s the meaning.
Kent is in honor of her late father, Kent Burningham, who passed away in 2018. Ocean’s middle name is Kent and Lala uses it professionally as her stage name.
I’ll start thinking of additional names for water, sand, and surf in different languages in preparation for when the time comes. P.S. Let’s hope no other celebrity birthday occurs around the time she gives birth LOL.
