Former Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent joined Gia Giudice on iHeart’s Casual Chaos podcast to share what she knows of the revamped cast.
At peace:
“I’m so excited for them,” began Lala.
Gia wondered if Lala felt jealous that a new cast was taking over. “No, I didn’t feel that way.” She explained to the Next Gen NYC personality what changed for her going into season 11.
“I went in to see the final season, and I just, I was really beat down. People in the outside world have their opinions on it. Some of those opinions, to a degree, may be right.”
“But season 10 living off of adrenaline and going to war and fighting for my kid. By the time we started filming season 11, the adrenaline had worn off. I was sinking into my new normal. It was a really tough pill for me to swallow. I was trying to let go of anger, resentment, and I didn’t know quite how to do that.”
“So by the time we got the call where it was like, we’re recasting, it felt really amazing. I was like, it’s time. This is someone else’s now. It doesn’t feel like ours. And I know the opportunities that that show brought to me.”
VPR’s new class brought it:
“I just can’t wait to see this new wave of like young, fun, they’re gonna be a hot mess and I’m gonna be here for it,” continued Lala.
“I’m excited to see what they do with the opportunities. Some are gonna say, ‘I’m just here for a good time and then I’m gonna move back home and live a great life.’ And others, I think, are really gonna take the opportunity by the balls.”
“I can’t wait for them. I think it’s gonna be awesome.”
Lala teased, “I’ve heard it’s great.”
