Lala Kent and Kristen Doute are slowly rebuilding their friendship after hitting a rough patch.
The two recently reconnected at a mutual friend’s baby shower, which Lala actually hosted. She opened up about it on her Give Them Lala podcast, where she explained that she and Kristen had not been in a good place for a while.
For context: Ocean’s mom felt like Kristen didn’t show up for her as a friend when she needed it most. She vented to Brittany Cartwright about it — and Brittany ended up passing that along to Kristen.
Lala shared that she had tried reaching out during her pregnancy, but Kristen hadn’t responded.
Things didn’t start to shift until the baby shower came up. That’s when Kristen began warming up and even messaged Lala the day before the event.
“She said she was debating coming because she didn’t know if it was appropriate to welcome herself into my home with where we’ve been — but she wanted to be there to support Meredith,” Lala said.
Since the shower, the two have re-followed each other on Instagram — which we all know says a lot in this friend group.
