Lala Kent is finally opening up about her split from former assistant and podcast cohost Jessica Walter.
On the newest episode of Untraditionally Lala, the The Valley star addressed the Jess of it all during a fan Q&A.
“How funny that Jess texted me over the weekend and she sent me a clip of the podcast that we all used to do together,” Lala shared on the May 27 episode.
“She was like, ‘This just popped up in my memories.’”
Jessica’s text also included an update on where she currently lives and an invitation for coffee.
“I was like, I miss you so much all the time, every day,” Lala continued.
Lala’s brother, Easton, chimed in saying he missed Jessica’s energy and hinted that timing ultimately played a major role in the fallout.
ICYMI:
Fans first met Jessica during season 9 of Vanderpump Rules when Lala was searching for an assistant.
Not only did she find help, but she also gained a close friend and eventual podcast cohost.
However, in November 2024, Lala announced, “Jessica is no longer going to be working for me, and she is no longer going to be on the podcast.”
At the time, Jessica claimed she didn’t even have the opportunity to properly say goodbye on the podcast — leaving fans to speculate about what really happened behind the scenes.
Many theorized money may have played a role, and Lala seemingly confirmed parts of that speculation.
“It had everything to do with timing,” the former Vanderpump Rules star explained on Untraditionally Lala.
“And I so desperately wanted to give her all of those things, but the timing was not allowing it.”
Ultimately, it appears there’s still plenty of love between the duo.
“I love her. I miss her. And she is one of my most favorite people still to this day.”
