Lala Kent knew her time on Vanderpump Rules was over before we did.
The VPR star joined Scheana Shay, Janet Caperna and Jared Lipscomb to discuss the end of an era.
“I mean, I’ve known that this was coming for a while. I think I knew the moment that I lost my sh-t at the finale of Season 11. It just felt very final to me,” she began on Scheananigans.
“There was nothing left to say. The story was done. And I think I’ve said that for quite a while. Like, there’s no more story to tell with this group of people.”

In case you missed it: at the direction of one of the VPR producers, Lala “obliterated the 4th wall” — saying out loud what she’d been feeling the entire season.
Some of Lala’s “friendship ending” monologue about Ariana Madix:
- “This happened to her, the world rallied around her. She now thinks she is Beyoncé.”
- “It’s BS that she can’t film with someone that she stays under the same roof.”
- “She moved on eight days later.”
- “I’ve never met someone who gets cheated on, and suddenly she becomes God.”
Though Lala stands beside everything she said during her hot mic moment, she does regret not giving Ariana the heads up about it prior to her seeing it at the season 11 reunion.
Lala’s also revealed she wanted to end her time on the franchise at the end of season 10, but was asked from the network to come back for one more season.
This is a cautionary tale to always trust your gut! Go out on a high and leave the audience wanting more.
It’s unfortunate that Lala tanked everything she worked toward during her tenure with one viral moment. The fan love fleeted quicker than the words that left her lips.
