In the City star Kyle Cooke had a message for his former Summer House costar West Wilson after Netflix announced that the reality star is joining the upcoming celebrity edition of Million Dollar Secret.
“Million dollar mistake,” Kyle wrote on Threads, shortly after Netflix revealed his former friend will compete on the reality competition series.
West’s new gig comes just months after his departure from Bravo TV‘s hit show amid the fallout surrounding his relationship with Kyle’s estranged wife, Amanda Batula.
ICYMI, Million Dollar Secret puts its contestants in a lavish mansion, where one player secretly receives $1 million. The remaining contestants must figure out who has the money while the secret millionaire attempts to keep their identity hidden.
West will compete alongside Christine Quinn, David Arquette, Adam Rippon, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, Chloe Veitch, Chris Redd, Melora Hardin, Bridget Everett, Phoebe Robinson, Dom Gabriel, Chelley Bissainthe, and Adam Scherr.
Social media users labeled Netflix as “messy” for casting Briana Chickenfry on the same show as West Wilson. ICYMI, Brianna publicly called “bullshit” on West and Amanda Batula’s official relationship timeline. While West and Amanda claimed they didn’t hook up until late March, Brianna claimed that West had told her and Dave Portnoy they were already “a thing” earlier in the year around the Super Bowl.
The casting announcement marks West’s first full-time reality TV role since his exit from Summer House.
Kyle and Amanda announced their separation in January after four years of marriage. Two months later, Amanda and West publicly confirmed that their relationship had become romantic. West had previously dated Amanda’s friend and Summer House costar Ciara Miller, adding another layer to the fallout.
Million Dollar Secret is slated to premiere in 2027.
