The Biermann-Zolciak divorce saga just took another sharp turn with Kroy’s latest filing.
According to court documents obtained by People, former NFL player Kroy Biermann filed on Friday, Aug. 15, seeking sole custody of his and Kim Zolciak’s four children — twins Kaia and Kane, 11, Kash, 13, and Kroy Jr., 14.
Kroy also legally adopted Kim’s daughters from her previous relationship, Ariana, 23, and Brielle, 28, shortly after marrying the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum in 2011.
In the filing, Kroy claims there is an “immediate concern for the physical, emotional, and mental safety” of their kids, alleging Kim has been a “tormentor and abuser.”
Currently, the estranged couple split custody in a rotating arrangement — each having two kids at a time, with the twins and older boys switching homes weekly.
But Kroy says the setup is hurting the children, alleging that three of the four are struggling in school and accusing Kim of frequently pulling them out of class early.
“There is a noteworthy absence of structure and accountability in the Mother’s home. The split/shared custody arrangement is not in the best interests of the children,” he wrote in the court filing.
This is just the latest chapter in what has become a very public and very toxic back-and-forth between the two.
From financial battles to ugly accusations, it seems the children are caught in the middle of a storm with no end in sight.
At the end of the day, they’re the ones who suffer most.
