The Valley star Kristen Doute is giving fans an update on where she stands with former friend (and current frenemy?) Janet Caperna—just in time for tonight’s reunion.
Kristen opened up during the July 29th episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, touching on the infamous “fan” accusations and where things really stand today.
ICYMI: The season 2 reunion was filmed early due to both Kristen and Nia Sanchez nearing the end of their pregnancies.
The cast was given advanced episodes to prep—but Kristen says that after watching the After Shows and hearing even more behind-the-scenes tea, she’d approach things differently now.
“There’s so much more I would have said at that reunion—and some things I’d take back,” she admitted.
KD also called out what she sees as Janet’s attempt to recreate the energy of OG Vanderpump Rules.
“This nastiness, the attacking, the holier-than-thou… it felt like she was trying to be the people I used to film with,” Kristen said. “You’re not Stassi. You’re not Lala.”
One thing that rubbed Kristen the wrong way?
Janet calling her “Crazy Kristen”—a nickname coined by fans of VPR, not the current cast.
“You weren’t around during that time,” she noted.
While Kristen doesn’t mind that Janet was a VPR fan, she does question the intention behind her joining The Valley crew through Scheana Shay.
Part 1 of The Valley reunion premieres tonight—and if this is the energy Kristen’s bringing, we’re in for a ride.
