Jason Caperna responded to Kristen Doute‘s claim that Jason Caperna takes his wedding ring off when he goes out without Janet Caperna.
The Valley stars were interviewed by US Weekly while Jason had his ring on!
The ruuuuhhhhmmuuurs and the nastiness:
Jason explained why the conversation Kristen started is “tough.”
“It’s not just a ring off. There’s definitely an implication there when someone says you take your ring off. It’s not like I’m doing it to get girls or something.” He joked, “As if I take it off, that they’ll just flock to me. I don’t know how that works.”
“I always thought you get more girls if you have a ring. That was always what people would say, but, regardless, people can be shady. I am not one of those people. I would never do anything ever to jeopardize this lady right here – my wife – and our son and the family we have.
Janet entered the chat:
Upon hearing Kristen’s theory that Jason intentionally takes his ring off when Janet wasn’t around made her pause before remembering, “He has the best character and moral compass I’ve ever met.”
In a marriage, “You kind of go through these waves of it’s fine. And then no, it’s not fine.” Janet hinted that viewers will see that emotional turmoil “unfold” throughout the season.
Jason and Janet credit strong communication practices in maintaining their relationship. “We talked right then on camera about it. We had pillow talk about it later,” she said. “We’re lucky. We have a very strong foundation in our relationship. We’ve never had issues like that.”
Jason added that he and Janet “don’t allow” problems to “sit and stew.”
“We get it out,” Jason explained. “It’s kind of our personalities too … to just kind of get those things out and not hold it in. That’s really helped.”
