Kim Kardashian really thought she did something when she put North West’s name in the same sentence with icons Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.
North received horrendous reviews for her portrayal of Simba in the live concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Kim defended her child’s performance noting she’s not talented.
Kim clapped back at the critics:
In a confessional, Kardashian said that she knew her daughter got the role because of nepotism and she knew that North would face criticism for her singing abilities.
“I already know what’s coming, that she’s not Whitney Houston. Duh! I know that she got the job because of her parents.” But, Kim asserted “North is the moment.” Additionally, Kim claimed North is the one who audiences pay to see, lol.
“They want to see North West on a TikTok, on a this, on anything, because she’s a personality, a performer.” Kim continued, “She’s not there to be Mariah Carey.”
“If anyone wants to hate on a child that is having the time of their lives, then f*ck you. anyone that is hating on a kid is just a hater.”
Clueless Kim:
Theater lovers were as appalled by Kim’s rationale as they were by North’s performance.
- I think the issue was that there were kids who actually were Whitney Houston????
- The problem is, literally no one wanted to see North, they essentially paid for it. There’s TONS of little kids that actually auditioned for the role, some of whom are in the broadway and national tour shows that have actual talent, yet they picked North and it was so awful. If I paid for a ticket to that I would never go back lol
- Or just have her earn it by auditioning like everyone else
- Our issue isn’t with North. It’s with you for subjecting her to that kind of criticism by putting her in that position to begin with. You used your power and influence to get her a role she wasn’t qualified for. Then you wanted to act shocked and appalled when there was blowback. But you brought this on yourself. Have her audition like everyone else did and see if she earns it based on her talent. 🙃
