Katie Ginella won’t be silenced — and she’s proving it by writing a book.
The Real Housewife of Orange County revealed to Bravo’s Daily Dish that the idea came to her during the season 18 reunion.
“I am in the process of finishing a book that I am writing,” Katie shared.
“It’s better if it comes from my mouth — what happened in my past, my growth, and growing up. So, I’m writing a book.”
ICYMI: at that reunion, Emily Simpson brought up Katie’s past custody battle with her ex, when she lost custody of her children.
Katie admitted she did lose custody at the time of her divorce due to not having the financial means to provide for them.
Still, she insisted she never checked out emotionally or mentally and remained deeply involved in their lives.
Katie revealed she’s hopeful the book will be out “next year.”
Along with sharing her story, the book will feature deeply personal letters she’s been writing to her daughter Kaili throughout her life.
“It’s like, don’t date this type of guy, be this kind of girl, this is how your biological father and I met, this is why it failed,” Katie explained.
Ultimately, the memoir will cover everything — her childhood, marriage, divorce, motherhood, growth, and resilience.
From last season to this one, Katie’s journey has shown how misunderstood she often is — whether from her attempt to fit in with the group or her tendency to stir the pot while trying so hard to be liked.
But one thing’s clear: this book could finally give fans the raw, unfiltered Katie story.
Or, give them another reason to call BS…
