Former Bravo TV star, Kathy Griffin, has a scroll of grievances to air about her ex-boss, Andy Cohen.
During an appearance on the Good Guys podcast, Kathy spilled the tea about Bravo’s executive.
Kathy’s experience with Andy:
In retrospect, the comedian would have treated Andy with kid gloves if she knew then what she knows now.
“I would probably have been kinder and gentler with Andy. I think he probably just thought, ‘I kind of want to be her.’ He gave himself a show. He took the CNN New Year’s Eve job.” (ICYMI, Kathy co-hosted CNN’s NYE party until 2017, when she was fired from the network. Andy replaced her.)
Kathy continued, “It is interesting to me that never in the history of television has the guy who decides what shows are on the air given himself a show that gets magically picked up every year while other shows get canceled.”
Double standards:
“When I was doing My Life On The D List, I think I was too direct.”
According to Kathy, the lines were blurred with what was appropriate for whom. “I thought I could talk like the guys that I work with talk.”
“He was a difficult boss,” she recalled before adding, “He’s been pretty tough on me publicly.”
Kathy thinks Andy is a sore winner. “He won the game of life. He’s the executive there. He’s probably why I’m not there anymore.”
