Julia Lemigova wasn’t a fan of how she behaved this season on The Real Housewives of Miami.
After watching the first two parts of the Season 7 reunion, it gave her a new perspective on her behavior.
“It was very emotional,” Julia exclusively told PEOPLE.
“Reliving those moments is really hard, but it also made me think and self-reflect.”
Still, the Bravo star isn’t just looking at her experience as the glass half empty.
Yulia’s Journey
“The beauty, as hard as reality television can be, is that it can be a pathway for personal growth and self-reflection. And if you are honest with yourself and with your audience, it can actually be — believe me or not — quite a healing experience.”
One of the biggest revelations this season was Julia’s admission of infidelity in her marriage to tennis legend Martina Navratilova — who she says has given her a lot of grace behind the scenes.
“I’m still unpacking a lot,” Julia admitted.
“I carry a lot of guilt about it, and a lot of pain.”
Ultimately, she reflects on the season as a cry for help — especially after throwing a drink at her co-star, Guerdy Abraira.
“What I can see so clearly now is this wasn’t just a television meltdown; it was a cry for help that played out on camera.”
Now, Julia says she’s taking real steps to heal, sharing that she’s seeking treatment for PTSD.
“This is deep work, and I can’t do it alone,” she said.
“I may be a strong woman, but I’m not Wonder Woman. I’m human.”
ICYMI: Julia has been open in the past about the loss of her eldest child — her 5-month-old son, Maximilien Stern, who died in 2000 from shaken baby syndrome while in the care of a nanny her ex, Edouard Stern, had hired.
I’ll admit… Julia was far from my favorite this season.
But the pain she must carry daily is unimaginable, and I extend grace to her there.
So, here’s hoping Julia is able to get the help she needs.
