A Judge denied Joseph Duggar‘s motion for unsupervised contact with his kids after committing a sex crime against a 9-year-old girl. Joseph is currently out on bond as the case makes its way through the legal system.
According to reports from TMZ, the 19 Kids and Counting star was hoping to get time alone with his four kids, but a Judge didn’t think that was responsible, considering his history.
Instead, the judge is allowing Joseph to have supervised visits with his children.
In March, Joseph Duggar was charged with committing a sex crime against a 9-year-old girl during a Florida vacation in 2020. Joseph was charged with “lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older,” as per the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest was a result of the victim, now 14, participating in a forensic interview regarding a report of past sexual abuse. The victim’s father confronted his daughter’s abuser. Joseph “allegedly admitted his actions to the father and Tontitown detectives.”
Meanwhile, in the Duggar crime family … Joseph’s brother, Josh Duggar, was convicted in December 2021 of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. He is currently serving a 12-year and 7-month federal prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Seagoville, Texas, with a scheduled release date of December 23, 2032.
Additionally, Kendra Duggar, Joseph’s wife, was arrested two days after Joseph on charges that were unrelated to his case.
