Jenna Lyons is officially stepping away from The Real Housewives of New York.
The fashion icon revealed on Instagram Friday morning that although she initially planned to return for season 16 as a “friend of,” she ultimately decided to bow out of the franchise altogether.
“I would be the oldest and only openly gay woman on the show and feel like this is an opportunity for a new dynamic to emerge,” Jenna wrote on November 21.
In her caption, Jenna thanked everyone at Bravo, the production team, her former co-stars, and of course the Bravo fans who championed her time on the reboot.
“I will be watching and bitching from the sidelines with love and outfit judgement,” she joked.
Social Media Reacts:
- JFL ❤️ JFT 4eva — Jessel Taank
- 😢 — Andy Cohen
- Love you — Erin Lichy
Bravo hasn’t announced the season 16 cast yet.
But Jenna confirming she was offered a “friend of” role does tell us conversations and deals have already started behind the scenes.
Rumors have been swirling for months, though the only consistent chatter points to Erin Lichy and Sai De Silva returning.
