Jenna Johnson is setting the record straight after fake headlines claimed she was involved in a near-fatal car accident.
The DWTS pro took to Instagram on Jan. 18 to call out the source of the rumor — an AI-generated clickbait story.
“It has been brought to my attention by hundreds of you that there is an article circulating that I was involved in an accident with other horrifying information,” Jenna wrote.
“This is absolutely FAKE NEWS.”
The fake article claimed Jenna and her husband, fellow DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy, were in “critical condition.”
The post also included a photo of a totaled car.
Jenna continued, calling out AI for spreading “disgusting” misinformation:
“Please stop using my pictures to spread false news articles for clickbait. It’s disgusting!!! Whoever started this should be ashamed,” she concluded.
Serena Pitt recently spoke out about similar fake Facebook stories — though the ones circulating about her were nowhere near as sinister.
ICYMI: Jenna and Val are currently prepping for Dancing With the Stars tour, which kicks off Thursday, Jan. 22 in Akron, Ohio.
The couple are also bringing their 3-year-old son, Rome, along for the five-month tour run.
On Season 34 of DWTS, Val was paired with runner-up Alix Earle, while Jenna competed with actor Corey Feldman, who was eliminated second.
